Sophia Tadé, a master esthetician and the owner of Eeyah Holistic Spa in Columbia, comes from “a long line of natural healers” from West Africa. As an oncology-trained skincare specialist, she’s certified to work with clients undergoing treatment for cancer.

“The skin is a reflection of what is happening inside,” she said. “I wanted to be that bridge that allows people to be the reflection of their beauty from inside out.”

Since Tadé opened the spa in 2020, it has expanded. She works with two estheticians and a reiki practitioner to offer services for a range of clients, including facials, dermaplaning, lash and brow tinting, and more. Eeyah Holistic Spa offers pharmaceutical-grade and plant-based skincare products, and it’s a judgment-free zone, Tadé said.

“We meet our clients where they are on their journey with their skin,” she said. “We work with care and love. … We listen more than we talk.”
